Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Prataprao Jadhav will represent India at the World Government Summit in Dubai, where he is scheduled to present the country’s approach to integrative medicine, officials said.
Speaking at a high-level session, the minister will outline how India is blending modern medical science with traditional systems such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy to strengthen public health delivery. The presentation is expected to focus on policy frameworks, institutional support and on-ground outcomes achieved through this integrated model.
The summit, hosted annually in the United Arab Emirates, brings together global leaders, policymakers and experts to deliberate on governance, public services and future-ready health systems. India’s participation comes amid growing international interest in holistic and preventive healthcare models.
According to officials, the minister will also highlight India’s experience in expanding access to healthcare, promoting wellness-based interventions and leveraging traditional knowledge systems alongside evidence-based medicine. The integrative approach, they said, aims to reduce disease burden, improve patient outcomes and make healthcare more inclusive and affordable.
On the sidelines of the summit, the minister is expected to hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from other countries to explore collaboration in health policy, traditional medicine research and capacity building.
The World Government Summit serves as a global platform to exchange best practices, and India’s intervention is likely to underline the country’s positioning as a key voice in shaping future health governance through a balanced mix of tradition and science.
