During the interaction, the Prime Minister acknowledged the challenges posed by digital distractions. He advised students to consciously manage their time on social media and digital platforms and strike a balance between study and leisure activities. He urged students to prioritise focussed study routines while maintaining mental resilience.
Advice on Comparisons and Confidence Building
Responding to concerns over parental comparisons between children, Mr Modi encouraged an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual support within families. He noted that excessive praise for one child can weaken another’s confidence, and recommended that parents foster environments that build self-assurance and psychological balance.
Tips on AI, Stress Management and Sleep
Addressing questions on modern tools and stress, the Prime Minister said students should embrace artificial intelligence constructively rather than fear its use. He emphasised the importance of adequate sleep in reducing stress and said that writing notes by hand can sharpen focus and contribute to mental clarity.
Dietary Habits and Wellbeing
A student asked about Mr Modi’s personal dietary habits. He shared that he has mainly followed a vegetarian diet since childhood, enjoying simple meals and the occasional preparation of “Khichdi”. He urged students to treat their diet as medicine, suggesting they eat to nourish the body rather than merely to satisfy the palate. He recommended deep breathing after eating grains to help energise the body.
Guidance for Parents
In his address to parents, the Prime Minister advised against unnecessary pressure on children during the examination season. He described the role of parents as providing steady support so that children can develop confidence, balance and emotional strength.
