Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a health screening camp at the Vidhan Bhawan on Monday, the first day of the state Budget session. The camp, organised by the Health and Medical Education Department, aims to ensure uninterrupted access to medical check-ups for members of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council during the demanding session.
Doctors from King George’s Medical University are conducting routine examinations at the venue. On the opening day, Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, along with several ministers and legislators, availed themselves of the facility.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister underscored the importance of regular health monitoring alongside the rigours of official duties, and urged members to maintain a balanced and low-stress routine to ward off illness. He said a healthy lifestyle should be regarded as a basic right and reaffirmed the government’s focus on strengthening health services.
Adityanath also noted that informed dialogue among policymakers, healthcare professionals, and experts in various fields contributes to broader public welfare. The camp will remain operational throughout the session to provide convenient medical support to lawmakers and others present at the legislature complex.
