Physicians in both government and private facilities say they have witnessed a steady rise in patients, particularly adolescents,  presenting with prolonged cough, throat irritation, chest congestion, and fatigue over the past week. The timing has compounded anxieties for families, as students prepare for crucial board and annual examinations.

Medical professionals attribute the spike to seasonal fluctuations, fluctuating temperatures, and lingering viral infections that can aggravate respiratory conditions. While most cases are not severe, doctors caution that untreated bronchitis can prolong recovery, leading to absenteeism from school and difficulty concentrating during revision.
